I'm happy to announce that, after a long year of recording, the second Silent League record is now going to mix and will be finished shortly. That's right, 10 more silent league songs… all for you. (cue applause) And, we'll be making a new song off the record available to the fine folks on our mailing list as soon as its mixed so, if you haven't already signed up, do so now!
Also, we've created and put up a new page on the site dedicated to showcasing all the ideas we had on the way to finishing this record. Here you will find old and new demos, old versions of songs, and sometimes ideas that just didn't make the cut but we think are neat for one reason or another. So feel free to check it out. Click Here We'll keep it regularly updated with new and fresh stuff so check back regularly.

New Album Time
March 07, 2006
Yeah, we know ~~ we never call and we never write. Our mothers remind us too. But see, we like to take our time – we’re fans of geting some distance, trying on different faces, wandering the backroads, burrowing and digging for truffles on our own time, incubation. We are busy but we ARE silent and reclusive after all – and care more about making and refining our monsters then we do about chasing rabbits around the countryside. But we know the silence isn’t very fun to listen to. And to apologize, in a couple of weeks, at the behest of our friends and relatives and therapists and wardens, we will begin pasting up a series of musical postcards and dispatches here on our site. We are creating a musical scrapbook to bring you to where we’ve been and show you what it sounds like (if you care to know, and the mail says that many do). So beginning in a week or three we will post a new set of musical vignettes, sketches, demos, unused songs and song cycles, instrumentals, medleys, fragments, lullabies, previously private blues, blueprints, relevant and related musical correspondences and lost love letters, every…single…week…until we finish the new record (which is tentatively titled Character Assassination…for free -- for you to have and take and carry and wear as you will.
Please note: we are sneaking into the light of day as follows:
SXSW Festival, Austin, TX: headlining the File 13 showcase at midnight, March 17th, at Nuno’s on 6th
March 30th, at Tonic, NYC: a party for and with our friends Grand Mal, a tribute to the long, bright trail of music they have left us; with Inouk, Viet Nam, Cause for Applause, and other special guests.
